CEO, The Skills Group I TEAM FARNER, Co-Founder Agency Experts, ICCO European President (2016-2020)Being part of the ICCO community allows me to connect with great practitioners on a global scale. Just through chairing the Climate Communications task force, I have learned what an amazing impact the ICCO members can make and it’s a privilege to be working amongst such an inspiring and diverse group of people.
The best thing about ICCO is its global reach. When we get the opportunity to meet in various forums, we feel pride in our industry, while at the same time realizing that our challenges are surprisingly similar. Another great value of membership is the common ethical framework and the work to combat disinformation, which both helps to strengthen trust in the industry.
Being part of ICCO’s Board for more than fifteen years has been a privilege and a constant source of insight. ICCO’s expanding global initiatives continue to strengthen the professionalism and reputation of the PR industry worldwide, while creating meaningful value for national associations such as the Hellenic Association of Communication Agencies. Just as important are the personal connections and the open exchange of ideas that develop through ICCO board meetings and international gatherings.
The Hungarian PR Association is now the strongest professional body in PR in Hungary. The network and knowledge via our ICCO membership played a role in the growth over the years. The most remarkable is the PR NextGen World Cup. Our Hungarian semi-final is very successful. In previous years, learning and taking ideas from other associations helped a lot, now our ICCO membership can help with global visibility.
Through personal and organisational networking and collaboration within ICCO – from board meetings and ICCO Summits to regional meetings – we have succeeded in recent years in jointly driving forward the development of the international communications industry and devising strategies for key future challenges. This benefits not only the national PR associations but also all industry colleagues personally who are committed to greater international cooperation. The long-standing focus on building trust, ethics and quality forms the basis of ICCO’s success for the future, enabling it to successfully navigate new technical and content-related challenges and opportunities within the PR and communications industry. The most remarkable is the PR NextGen World Cup. Our Hungarian semi-final is very successful. In previous years, learning and taking ideas from other associations helped a lot, now our ICCO membership can help with global visibility.
